I’m Del Hendrixson, Jr. The global founder of Bajito Onda. I started out of desperation in a little shack in my backyard of a very violent barrio in Dallas called Oak Cliff. Bajito Onda is a calling I accepted after I was released from Federal Prison for counterfeiting birth certificates for Mexicans back in 1982. After prison, no matter how hard I tried there was no place for me in this so called ‘society’ called the Free World. I was filled with rage and hatred for the rejection I faced. I had no idea how to ever ‘make it back’ from where I had been.
On what I call The Deadliest Day of My Life after Prison - I was going to give up and commit a horrible payback crime that I was sure would keep me in prison forever if I wasn’t ‘put down’ first. I’m grateful however that before I left out of there - I saw a tiny light come into my darkness of my heart and my mind and I heard the voice of God tell me ‘You listened to Man and you ended in prison - Listen to Me and see where “I” lead you.” He told me to go and help young people with no life experience and with no guidance so they would not go down the same path I had just ‘crawled’ back up from.” I thought surely I was crazy - but I took on what I refer to as ‘my crawling’ from that day around 30 years ago - and I have never looked back.
Bajito Onda (the underground society) has over half million fans and followers all over the world.
The art from the Collection comes from the hands of prisoners locked away for lifetimes, ex prisoners, graffiti artists, and tattoo artists who in one way or other have been directly involved in the Bajito Onda worldwide family.
